Delete Policy
At Effit, we believe you should have full control over your personal data. If you choose to stop using Effit and want your data deleted, we make the process clear and accessible.
How to Request Deletion
You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by:
Using the in-app option: Go to your profile > Settings > Delete Account.
Emailing us directly at [hello@effit.com.au] with the subject line "Delete My Data".
We will verify your identity before completing the request for security purposes.
What Happens When You Delete Your Account
Upon confirming your request:
Your account and all associated personal data (including name, email, photos, pacts, workout history, and messages) will be permanently deleted from our active systems within 14 days.
Some data may be retained for a limited time in backups for legal or regulatory compliance, fraud prevention, or resolving disputes, but will be securely destroyed according to our data retention policy.
Third Parties
If you’ve interacted with public pacts, influencers, or third-party integrations through Effit, we will notify those third parties where applicable, but we are not responsible for how they handle your data. You may need to contact them directly for deletion from their systems.
Right to Withdraw Consent
If your use of Effit is based on consent (e.g., marketing emails), you may withdraw your consent at any time, and we will cease further processing of your data for those purposes.
